Lot 135: 1930s Babe Ruth Autographed Photo With Personalization
WOW! The Sultan of Swat has hand-signed in black fountain pen (slightly faded) an 8"x9" sepia toned B&W ‘bust’ photograph of himself. Personalization reads: “To My Pal, Miller Toggin, From Babe Ruth”. Artistically rendered photograph displays Ruth’s head in a bust-style profile. An outstanding find, certainly the bedrock of any baseball autograph collection!

Lot 167: 1961 Post Cereal 'Pinwheel' Promotional Display

Post Cereal’s baseball card promotion was tremendously popular when launched in the early 1960s. Despite the success of the actual cards, only a few of these ‘Pinwheel’ promotional displays have surfaced, especially in this condition. The display itself measures approximately 28" in diameter and features nine cards (in larger format) and is made of corrugated pasteboard with glossy surfaces. Technically grades VG-EX but presents much better. Comes in a custom Lucite holder designed to preserve the shape and integrity of this rarely seen and much coveted piece of card collecting history.

Lot 63: Jimmie Foxx Autographed Baseball
Quite scarce, a vintage baseball single-signed by the ‘Beast’ Jimmie Foxx. He was elected in 1951 to the Hall-of-Fame on the first ballot.

Lot 125: 1944 Ty Cobb Autographed Letter
A personal letter, presumably to a fan or fellow player, hand-written and signed by Ty Cobb! This 7¼”x6" letter is dated December 22nd, 1944, and written on his own ‘Tyrus R. Cobb’ stationery.

Lot 260: 1961 Fleer Basketball Complete Set
This complete 1961 Fleer Basketball set comes from a consignment that originally had two sets, plus some extras with nothing ‘cherry-picked’. We put together this set representing the best examples of each card. The end result is this lot and the other 1961 Fleer lot. The overall appearance of this set is very clean and fresh with snow-white borders framing the vibrant images beautifully. An outstanding and progressively scarce set, a hallmark of any serious vintage basketball card collection.

Lot 286: 1965 Pro Bowl Signed Football
With Jim Brown & 32 Others.

The 33 members of the 1965 NFL East Pro Bowl squad hand-signed this Rawlings ‘Pro Bowl 65’ vintage football. Several HOFers on this ball: Jim Brown, Roosevelt ‘Rosey’ Brown, Sam Huff, John Henry Johnson, Sonny Jurgensen, Paul Krause, Bob Lilly, Bobby Mitchell, Mel Renfro, Jim Ringo, Charley Taylor and Paul Warfield. Most of the black ink signatures have retained their boldness from when originally signed. An excellent relic to commemorate this phase in football history.

Lot 288: 1968-69 Baltimore Colts Team-Signed Football
With Unitas, Mackey

With elite Hall-of-Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas, the Colts dominated the opposition from the late 1950s to the early 1970s, without a losing season from 1957 to 1971 (roughly Unitas’ tenure). This team-autographed football is signed by players from the 1968 season when the team finished 13-1, but famously lost to Joe Namath and the New York Jets in Superbowl III. Fans of NFL history and of the old Baltimore Colts should find this ball an excellent find.
