The oldest items are from the origin of the Disney name, with several covers from Isigny, France. Among the many scarce covers are the better of two known covers of the Disney, Nebraska town cancel; a piece with postal cancellation showing date & town of Disney’s birth (12/5/01 in Chicago); Hank Porter drawn Mickey Mouse on cover with unauthorized town cancels Mickey, TX, Mouse, KY, Donald, WI and Duck, NC; one of only two known examples of Walt Disney’s father’s handwriting on a rare first Mickey Mouse fan club card (the other example resides in the Disney archives); one of the earliest known Disney subject postcards (1930); many early hand-painted covers and cachets, then plenty of modern stamps, essays, anniversary covers, cancels & commercial cover artwork, FDCs for USA Disney stamp; plenty of material from around the world! |
