Internet bidding is available up to one hour prior to each session's start time, and allows collectors who are unable to attend the auction in person to participate in the sale. You must be a registered bidder in order to place absentee and/or 'Live' bids. Once you've logged in, bidding is available by scrolling to the bottom of each lot detailed page. The Current Opening and Estimates are displayed. Select your maximum bid from the drop down tab in the My Bid area, and click on Submit Max Bid. Your bid will be adjusted to the next increment over the next highest bid. When someone else bids, your bid will automatically be adjusted upward in increments up to your maximum bid. The amount of your maximum bid will always be kept secret from all other bidders. All lots are sold to the highest bidder at one increment above the second highest bid.
A message will be displayed near the top of the page if you are the high bidder, or if you've been outbid. In addition, you will be notified via email of your bidding status provided you clicked this option when you completed your registration. |
